Background:
Skeletá is the sixth studio album by Swedish rock band Ghost, led by Tobias Forge as Papa V Perpetua. It’s their most introspective work, focusing on personal emotions and inner dialogues, unlike the outward themes of past albums like Impera (empires) and Prequelle (plagues). Produced by Gene Walker, mixed by Andy Wallace and Dan Malsch, it began recording in late 2023, with full production in mid-2024. The album introduces Papa V Perpetua, debuted in the “Satanized” video, and ties to a 2025 world tour, including a historic Madison Square Garden show.
